What a great way to begin 2019!
In Brain Building, fourth graders were introduced to Study Island, a great Science resource. They read through lessons regarding light and sound, and were able to choose whether to do a practice quiz or flips/flash cards online. Afterwards, they had the option to check out books.
Brain Building continued with fifth graders working on reading and understanding legends/keys, headings, symbols, coordinates, and other information on maps. They had the option to check out books also.
In the computer lab, as part of their keyboarding/typing, I assigned two additional lessons that they can work on at their own pace: Adaptive Keyboarding and Navigating Interfaces.
At our incredible pep rally Friday, our amazing Admin. team announced a "catch them being good" promotion for this week. Our teachers will be awarding stickers to students who they see being kind and being good citizens.
Have a great week.
