What an awesome first week! We welcomed lots of new families and greeted friends back from the summer. Our fabulous PTA provided a great BBQ lunch for the staff, and we hosted our Sneak Peak for families to meet their teachers. We had our friendly and experienced Admin. Team as our first special guests on Panther News Network, our live, morning TV show. Ms. McLeod gave us our Character Word for September - Respect. The Admins. previewed our Panther Pep Rally.
The Pep Rally was a spirited event that tested students' knowledge of our PAWS behavior model....Pride, Attitude, Wise Choices, and Safety. We have two outstanding events that are coming up soon where we can show PAWS.....Friday, August 18th from 6-8 p.m. is our annual Back to School Bash, which will be filled with great food, bouncy houses, balloon artist, hula hoops, laser tags, and face painting.
The second event will be on Monday, August 21st. Students will be able to view the Eclipse at the school. Dismissal will be delayed that day - Mrs. Lemons will be sending out more details later. This is going to be great!
Speaking of Dismissal....I cannot speak more highly of our wonderful Fulton County Transportation Department! Those wonderful administrators, staff, and bus drivers work tirelessly everyday to transport students to school and home. Please consider allowing your students to take the bus home everyday. It's safe, easy, free, and convenient!
